Yup it’s a remix, yup I blogged the original, yup I have no issue with this. It just seems to work better. Shame is aside from the Justice release it seems like music I enjoy has dissipated for a few weeks, which is all the better given how many pages of physiology I have to read.

Ok, so my current supply for new music dried up a bit so I took a wee peak into the archive from last year. It’s almost time for a summer tune again given the GLORIOUS weather; I swear this is the sunniest March in years. Anyway the tune is a remix of Tigercity: Ancient Lover. French Horn Rebellion have given it a nice light electro feel. Bluntly put, I love this tune.
The new Strokes album got released today. It seems pretty much like more of the same, which is a disapointment to be frank, be hey at least it’s no Julian Casablancas solo album which was a one track affair…
From my understanding Yelle’s Que Veux Tu came out a few days ago and my previous frenchy post is where I hear of some artistes. Found it sitting at home bored off my face knowing the name from the Krookers + Yelle: cooler couler I decided to take a look around and came to this through Hypem.

Well Pharmacy Ball at the time of writing is tomorrow, so I’d spent the day trapped inside for the umpteenth time. A few white russians later and bouncing around youtube/FB I end up going from Crookers to Uffie. Having not bothered with most of the tracks on Sex Dreams and Denim Jeans I come across neuneu. Whoever is down at Ed Banger records choosing the singles from an album has clearly failed her. Horns and arrogance, well played by Kanye, this just continues the good fit.

Wednesday reblog early (albeit by accident). So instead we have oh land’s new self titled album. Currently on hypem using a feature that to begin with I doubted would bring me any joy. Oh boy was I wrong! Vaccines, lykke li and now Oh Land having albums available to stream over it means it’s easily worth the increased advertising I have to suffer for it. The tracks I would rate highest are ‘Son of a Gun’ and ‘Perfection’

You’ve heard it before, It’s like when you first hear the full version of Scrubs’ theme tune but you know more than the chorus and it’s also been used in Superbad. Simple enough guitar, bass, drums no fancy synth that’s everywhere now, just needs MORE COWBELL.

Hypem happily does a monthly podcast type show, which ushered into my life Toro Y Moi. At first I was thinking ok it’s good just now, but I’ll hate it tomorrow, no, I catch myself humming it on the way to the laundrette block and wonder what am I humming, well it’s this, and once it’s in your life it won’t go away either!.
